The web hosting service and the customer support service provided by www.webhost.uk.net was absolutely horrendous.
I used their service for a client database for a refugee organisation. It was essential, to provide services to vulnerable clients that the database was available at all times. However, the site kept going down and the support technicians didn’t seem to be able to work out the problems and provide a solution.
The last straw was when it went down over Christmas 2013 and support didn’t answer for many days and had no idea what the problem was. The site was down for about two weeks and in the end I had to get in the original developer who resolved the issue in a few minutes; the version of .Net had been changed to an earlier version.
It was at this point that we stopped using this service and migrated to a new hosting service with another company and we haven’t had a single problem in 5 months.
At one point I posted a testimonial on their forum about their bad service. A few days later it was deleted, which amounts, I think, to fraud as it is misrepresenting their service. I wonder how many other people have also posted negative testimonials.
